My sewing room these days seems to have an admiration for collecting UFO.
You know, those Q blocks left laying aside!!! They sort of cry out waiting for the next inspiration to become something of use.
Amazes me each time what one can come across searching for an item, or with among phases of cleaning up my work spaces and in just going through my sewing bins among spaces.
My quilting had been previously drawn to skill-building in between making a few quilt for gifts the past few years too. And though I have learned quite a number with those skill building skills with block layout, therefore those sewing spaces have also collected quite a stack of UFO's aka UnFinished Objects.
Truly a time to begin finding a use for them considering some successful and maybe not so much. Must admit had a few of them frazzling me into making them not always my favorite but gained so much from the processes. And then those that pop out in begging me to make something out of them.
Seems this busy May shall have them on my mind and I've already have a few ideas brewing and lending me into extending that list of projects as to be done and those wannabes.
I've pulled a few blocks out today from the archives which are from a class I took a few years back. Made the block, never the quilt! My mission then was to skill build and not so much turning those blocks into the quilt. Made me think, just what does that say of me among those phases....sewist, non-quilter or experimental quilter?
And that has also made to wonder how many of you out there, also come across your UFO's. Maybe you could possible share some of the results that came from facing those aspects.
A big Thank you for checking my blog out and sharing experiences!
Meanwhile, think I am going to begin configuring some means for those UFO's uses!
Happy Quilting! Pat
