Quilter at play

I'm piece sewing today with a jelly roll set. The combo set printed fabrics include coordinating floral designs on colors of, black,white, lemon yellow . I began the play and took a snap shot take some photos to share of 4 rows sewn . I constructed 4 separate pieces carrying each with 4 row combination strips. Next step would be blocking them into rows of squares.       Squaring rows: Squaring blocks made simple with a quick/ easy method by folding to begin cuts. The fold is a 90 degree angle for squaring to from each block. The technique is described in this tutorial. How to make Simple Quilt block Pictures with description which I found most useful in squaring & forming these blocks to follow with.   Cuts continue along with play  among the variety of cuts to squares . This is 4 of the cut squares arranged randomly Beginnings of a large form block.    Results: 4 row strips resulted 5 squared blocks

Block play with leftovers.

Plays with a  leftover strips  from a aqua jelly roll. Piece and  paired to a  blend of blue and greens tones.  Plays of cuts and seaming. More cuts this time with a 45 degree   angle . Triangles from each square. More play time and with  re-joining cuts & those angles  and back into one square for  pairing.   Result: One  C razy square block!
